The longer you wait, the more familiar the "off" feeling gets.
Most people sit with it for months before doing anything about it.
You don't have to.

It's NOT a habit tracker. It's NOT a productivity planner.

A simple daily guide for people who've started to feel like a stranger to themselves.

When something feels "off"…
Not in a way you can fully explain. Just in a way you can feel.

Nothing's quite wrong. Nothing's quite right either.

The people you love feel slightly further away — not because anything happened. Just because you haven't really been there. Not fully.

It's an uncomfortable, under-the-surface kind of feeling.

So you fill the gaps.
Scrolling. Shows. Podcasts. Browsing. Whatever else keeps you from noticing what comes up when you're alone.

It feels like there's a reason for it, but often it's just distraction.

Then you look up and months have passed.

You still feel "off".
Not broken. Not exactly lost. Just not quite yourself.

This is why un.shaped has resonated with over 200k people.

One small practice a day.

  • → No interpretation needed
  • → No "right way"
  • → Simple enough that you'll actually do it

What it brings up is entirely yours. And none of it has to feel like work.

A system or app isn't what's needed.

What's needed are starting points, and just enough structure to follow through.

A simple daily guided journal to help you feel like yourself again.

The Setup

  • Start here: an introduction to the "something feels off" feeling, and why the book begins there.
  • Why this works: how small practices interrupt autopilot and rebuild the habit of noticing.
  • What this is and isn't: clear expectations, so the book feels easy to use instead of like another thing to get right.
  • How to use this book: one practice, one short explanation, one question, and a few lines to write what came up.
  • Before Day 1: a short reflection to help you name what you're moving away from, what you're moving toward, what you may need to let go of, and one small promise you can keep.

The 200

  • The practice: one small thing to do that day.
  • How: simple instructions so you know exactly where to start.
  • Why this works: what the practice is meant to interrupt, reveal, or help you notice.
  • Reflective question: one question to sit with after the practice.
  • Journal section: space to write what you noticed, what you felt, and anything you don't want to lose.

The Ending

  • Where to go from here: look back at what changed, which practices stayed with you, and what you may want to keep doing.

Additional Materials

  • Wheel of emotions: a tool used by psychologists and therapists to help you name what comes up.
  • Progress tracker: 200 days to mark off, one for each practice you complete.
  • Additional note pages: extra space for anything that needs more room.

It's probably for you if:

  • You've been feeling kind of off and you want a name for it.
  • You've tried the obvious things. Better sleep, less phone, more exercise... and the "off" feeling keeps coming back.
  • You want something simple and quiet, not another routine to keep up with.
  • You want to actually do the thing, not just read about doing it.

It's probably not for you if:

  • You're looking for a productivity system, a habit tracker, or a streak app.
  • You want a quick fix that resolves things in a week.
  • You're not interested in anything that asks you to slow down.

FAQ
Why buy this when the practices are free on Instagram?

Because the feed is exactly where the problem lives. The book sits on the table, not in the feed. You can't doomscroll a paperback. You open it, the page is already there, you do the small thing, you close it. The object does part of the work by keeping the practice somewhere your phone can't reach. If pulling them one by one off Instagram was going to happen, it mostly would have by now.

Some of these practices look almost too simple to matter. Are they?

The simple ones are the ones that work. When something feels slightly absurd, your usual autopilot trips for a second, and that small pause is where the noticing happens. If they looked impressive, they wouldn't do anything.

Is this another self-improvement book?

Not really. Most of those are about becoming a better version of you. This is about getting back in contact with the version that's already there. Different aim, different voice. Nobody in here is trying to optimize you.

I've tried things like this before and didn't stick with them. Why would this be different?

You've probably saved ten things like this and opened none of them, and that's fair. The difference here is small and it's the whole thing: the deciding was doing most of the work before, and the page already has the thing for today. You don't have to choose it, set it up, or talk yourself into it. You just open it and do the one small thing. Low enough that sticking isn't really the ask.

I don't know where to start, and I'm worried I'll do it wrong.

There's no wrong way to do it, and that worry is the exact thing this is built to take off your plate. You don't pick, plan, or design anything. You open it, the page already has the one thing for today, you do the small thing, you close it. Start on page one or open it anywhere. Both are right. The deciding is the part that usually stops people, so the deciding is the part that's already done.

Will this fix the "off" feeling?

Probably not on its own, and anyone promising that is selling you something. It won't change your life. The practices might change a day, and then the next one. That's the most anyone who's used it has said, and it's the most I'd claim. People don't message me to say it fixed everything. They say the morning felt quieter, or they noticed something they'd been walking past for months.

Customer photo review of 200 Things To Do Alone

Don’t mind the smudges. But it was fun to do something random. Didn’t have paper nearby so this worked fine. Check out my number 9 though :) (is it cheating that I sketch?)

200 Things To Do Alone

Substantial book with lots of mindful ideas and practices to help draw you towards more quality me time!

200 Things To Do Alone

This book is really a treasure and I am so happy to have bought it. Unlike other books it’s not a guide trying to improve yourself and pushing you to be a better version of yourself. Instead it’s really a personal journey. Really honest, encouraging and creative. I am very excited about what’s yet to come.

200 Things To Do Alone

It’s been months I feel I need some air in my inner self. I couldn’t find ways of doing it until I saw this list of things. It’s a handy way of starting feeling yourself again, without feeling lonely. I feel accompanied in this process. Great way of helping people!

200 Things To Do Alone

I’m only a few days into this book, but I can already feel the difference in my presence in everyday life. It’s something I’m looking forward to every day, knowing it’s not a “to do,” but something to be enjoyed and savored as I reconnect with myself. Love it so much!

200 Things To Do Alone

I love the idea and the initiative! When I found this project, I immediately felt connected in my search of simple solutions for everyday peace and this book helps a lot in staying focused in the moment. Much love!

200 Things To Do Alone

Great project. For me the biggest challenge is to be consistent and return to the list. I can imagine other people having the same issue. But great initiative!

200 Things To Do Alone

A really great book! The activities and tasks have been really insightful.

200 Things To Do Alone

An excellent list of tasks, topics and activities that take you away from the digital world that we live in and the continual onslaught from digital media channels that continually capture our attention.

The List

i have really enjoyed the different challenges. some are much harder than others but i have just been scrolling through the ebook and picking random pages.

The eBook

I find myself living in the moment more and enjoying the small things. I am not doing it in order of pages to be spontaneous and it’s thrilling to see what I’m prompted to do that day. I don’t see myself grabbing my phone as if I’m glued to it anymore. I can leave it on the counter as I read my book or watch the sunset. I needed this reminder. I often love being alone but never created a space to separate from my phone. I have art piece waiting to be finished and I’m excited to complete them.

200 Things To Do Alone

Great idea! I love to go down the list and do the activities. Very mindful

The List

Amazing customer service and great prompts.

The eBook

I'm on day 25 and I've missed maybe four days total. I don't normally stick with things like this. I think it's because it doesn't feel like a streak. If I miss a day, It's just still there tomorrow. It's pretty inviting.

200-Day Guide

I skipped ahead to Day 110, but still. I ended up spending twenty minutes on a bench thinking about that version of myself. It felt nice to remember that.

200-Day Guide

I caught myself watching the steam come off my tea and I genuinely couldn't remember the last time I'd actually looked at something for that long. I didn't reach for my phone. I just watched it.

200 Things To Do Alone

I bought this thinking it would be nice but probably a bit too soft for me. Day 9 made me cry. It felt so relieving to just let myself slow down. I didn't realize how much rushing through everything had been stressing me out.

200-Day Guide

This is the first thing I've tried that feels like it's asking less of me, not more. And somehow giving me more back when i follow it.

200 Things To Do Alone

your series feel like meditation sessions. i didn't know i needed content like this until my algorithm started showing it to me.

The List

bought the guide last week. been printing one page a morning before my coffee. first thing in a while that hasn't felt like another thing to keep up with.

200-Day Guide

Got the paperback two weeks ago. I keep it on the kitchen counter and read one page while the kettle goes. It's the calmest thing I've added to my morning in years.

200 Things To Do Alone

Holding the physical copy matters more than I thought it would. I've stopped reaching for my phone first thing because this is what's on my bedside table instead.

200 Things To Do Alone

I bought this expecting a journal. It's more like a quiet companion. I've done maybe 30 of the practices so far. A few of them genuinely shifted how I move through the day.

200 Things To Do Alone

I don't usually leave reviews. This is the first thing I've bought online in a long time that did exactly what it said it would. Nothing more, nothing less.

200-Day Guide

Wasn't sure $27 was worth it for a PDF. It absolutely was. I print one page a week and it sits next to my coffee. Worth more than half the apps I pay for.

200-Day Guide

The day 18 practice (saying the thing out loud) brought quite a reflection. I'd been avoiding something for months without realising I was avoiding it.

The List

I've bought a lot of journals. This is the first one I've actually used past week two. The pages don't ask anything of me. I just do the thing and close it.

200-Day Guide

Bought this on a whim after seeing one of the reels. Three weeks in and I've stopped opening Instagram before I've even sat up in bed. That alone was worth it.
