Why buy this when the practices are free on Instagram?
Because the feed is exactly where the problem lives. The book sits on the table, not in the feed. You can't doomscroll a paperback. You open it, the page is already there, you do the small thing, you close it. The object does part of the work by keeping the practice somewhere your phone can't reach. If pulling them one by one off Instagram was going to happen, it mostly would have by now.
Some of these practices look almost too simple to matter. Are they?
The simple ones are the ones that work. When something feels slightly absurd, your usual autopilot trips for a second, and that small pause is where the noticing happens. If they looked impressive, they wouldn't do anything.
Is this another self-improvement book?
